Los Angeles December 2024 Market Update

Hi, Happy New Year. Ana Mendoza here. I'm here to give you your year over year market update for the month of December. Happy New Year, I hope that you had an amazing holiday with your friends, your family, that you enjoyed Christmas, Hanukkah, whatever it is that you celebrate. And apparently today is Armenian Christmas, so Merry Christmas to you guys. 

I wanted to just thank you for everything and also, the referrals, just the support for 2024 from all of you and also just come on here to give you your yearly market update, as I always do for homes to have sold in the Los Angeles area under a million dollars. So we had about eight more homes come on the market, and the year over year market update is from December 2023 through December 2024, now that we have those numbers. By the way, we're in 2025 now.

So eight more houses came on the market last year or sold, compared to the previous year. Not that many, but we did have a little bit more activity compared to the previous year, so that's good. I did see a very little lull, just after Thanksgiving, then it was the first two weeks of December, started picking up again, and then it just went back to holiday mode at the end of the month, just like every other year. 

But homes did sell for more equity, $26,000 more, compared to the previous year, so that's a good thing.
